|About Dr. Cheng
Dr. Cheng is a California native and grew up in the South Bay Area. He received his undergraduate degree in Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics at UCLA. He then returned to the bay to attend the UC Berkeley School of Optometry, where received his Doctor of Optometry degree. In addition to the UC Eye Center, he has completed clinical training at the Palo Alto and Fresno Veteran's Affairs hospitals, Castle Eye Center in Atwater, and Highland Hospital in Oakland.
Activities and InvolvementDr. Cheng serves on the Membership Committee of the Santa Clara County Optometric Society. He is also a member of the California Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He has volunteered on three international optometric humanitarian missions: two to Nicaragua and one to Fuzhou, China.
In his free time, Dr. Cheng enjoys sports (Go Warriors!), playing music, eating delicious food, and spending time with his family, friends, and church.
