Dr. Deborah A. Rheam

About Dr. Rheam

Dr. Rheam graduated from Illinois College of Optometry in 1979. She returned to the vicinity of her alma mater, Santa Clara University and family to join Mountain View Optometry. She is an active member of her profession on the local and state levels.

Awards and Recognitions

Early in her career, Dr. Rheam was recognized as California Young Optometrist of the Year for her outstanding dedication and participation to the profession and community in which she worked. She has served as Secretary and Trustee of the Santa Clara County Optometric Society.

Activities and Involvement

Dr. Rheam is a founding member of the Contact Lens Section of the American Optometric Association. She also has participated in many clinical research projects as a principle investigator. Her community activities include special projects with developmentally disabled youngsters. She also volunteers her time at Saint Simon School.

Dr. Rheam and her husbund, Don Witt, have two beautiful children, Daniella and Douglas. Together they enjoy going to baseball games, camping and lots of swimming.
