Dr. Kathleen Shen

About Dr. Shen

Dr. Shen received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California at Berkeley School of Optometry in 1993. Her hospital-based training includes work at the Veteran's Administration hospital in Sacramento and Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco. She is in the office on Saturdays to help those who are in need of weekend appointments.

Activities and Involvement

Dr. Shen was recognized by Bausch and Lomb to have exceptional clinical potential in contact lenses. She also received the Frederick W. Brock binocular vision thesis award. Dr. Shen has volunteered with the Project Eyes Mission to provide eye care to the needy.

Dr. Shen lives in Los Altos with her husband and two children. When she is not in the office, she can be found volunteering at Almond School where her children attend.
