Dr. Kira Majmundar dreamed of being an optometrist since high school. Originally an East Bay native, Dr. Majmundar is excited to serve patients in the Peninsula. She graduated from University of California, San Diego with a degree in Human Biology and subsequently pursued her Doctorate of Optometry at University of California Berkeley Herbert Wertheim School of Optometry. During her clinical training, she rotated through Kaiser Permanente Daly City, VA Livermore, West Oakland Health Council, Eastmont Wellness Center, VA San Jose and Meredith Morgan Eye Center.
Dr. Majmundar is an active member of the Santa Clara County Optometric Society and currently serves on the Young OD Board. She coordinates continuing education events with industry sponsors for young optometrists in the South Bay Area. Dr. Majmundar practices full-scope optometry, including glaucoma management and myopia management.
Outside of optometry, Dr. Majmundar enjoys cooking, spending time with family and friends, playing pickleball, going to the gym, and walking her Siberian Husky.
